PompeiiTrips covers one destination and sells nothing itself. We compare the live market for visiting Pompeii and publish the minuses as loudly as the pluses.
What This Site Is
PompeiiTrips is an independent editorial guide to visiting Pompeii. We operate no tours, employ no guides and process no bookings. Booking, payment and cancellation all happen on the partner platform — GetYourGuide — under its terms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Pompeii Archaeological Park.
Official facts — gate prices, opening hours, the daily ticket cap, free-Sunday dates — are checked against the park's own site, pompeiisites.org. Where our page and theirs disagree, theirs is right.
How the Numbers Are Made
Every figure traces to one dated survey of live GetYourGuide listings — the current one taken on Aug 7, 2026 — cross-checked against the park's data. Four rules govern what gets published:
- Dated snapshots, not "current prices". Every table states its survey date in visible text. The partner's booking page always shows the live figure.
- One product, one set of numbers. The same price, rating and review count everywhere on the site, including the structured data. No rating without a count.
- Minuses printed as loudly as pluses. Products rated ★4.0–4.3 appear in the same tables as the ★4.8 leaders, with the weakness stated in the row.
- The unmonetised option stays in the table. Comparisons include a do-it-yourself row — train plus official gate ticket — marked as earning us nothing.
How This Site Earns
It costs you nothing extra. GetYourGuide pays a commission out of its own margin when you book through a tagged link; hotel links work the same way through Trip.com. The price is identical with or without our link, and commission does not buy placement — which is why weakly rated tours appear here with their weak ratings attached.
Corrections
Snapshots age; that is the honest cost of the method. If a gate price, opening hour, fare or rating no longer matches reality, write to [email protected] and we will re-check the source and correct the page.
