Entry to Pompeii costs €20 from the park's own ticketing, €25 with the suburban villas, €30 for three days. We cannot sell you any of them and earn nothing when you buy one. Four tickets: €20 for Pompeii alone, €25 including the suburban villas, €30 for a three-day pass and €45 for an annual card. EU citizens aged 18–24 pay €2 and under-18s enter free, though both still need a named ticket issued in their name.
Everything is sold through the park's own ticketing, and every ticket is named and checked against ID at the gate under a cap of 20,000 a day. That last detail is why a prebooked ticket of any kind — official or reseller — already skips the ticket-office queue.
Layer One — Entry Plus an Audio Guide, $23–44
These bundle the same entry with a recorded guide, a printed booklet or a map, and they cost a few dollars over the gate price. What they add is convenience: instant mobile delivery, usually free cancellation to 24 hours, and something to listen to.
They are also the weakest-rated category in the whole catalogue we track, at 4.0–4.2★. That is not a small gap against the 4.8★ the archaeologist walks hold, and it is the single most useful number on this page.
The platform publishes a separate sub-score for the guiding, and there the gap stops being a gap and becomes a chasm. These four products score 3.3, 3.5, 3.5 and 3.8 on the guide. On a 66-hectare site whose surviving text is election graffiti and bar menus rather than explanation, this is the layer that changes what you actually see. It is also where the review data is strongest by a wide margin.
Which One Is Right for You
Buy official if you want entry alone, if you qualify for the €2 EU reduction or a free under-18 ticket, or if this is a second visit and you already know what you are looking at.
Buy the guided walk if it is a first visit and you want the site explained. Buy the audio bundle only if you want a voice and the few dollars over €20 genuinely settle it — knowing that people who bought it rated it a full three-quarters of a star below the human alternative.

Treat official tickets as fixed: they are issued to a named person for a stated date. Most reseller products offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and that flexibility is a genuine part of what the few dollars extra buy.
